Jaime and Ian
Ian wondered what it would be like to have people from home here. Specifically, what if Mickey were here? Away from his dad's influence, would he have found the courage to admit who he was and how he felt about Ian, or would his internalized homophobia still have been too much for him to overcome? Ian still missed him desperately when he allowed himself to think about it, which wasn't often. He didn't want to waste time pining over Micky when things were going so well for him here and now.
"It is peaceful here. Well, there's crazy stuff that happens, but it doesn't seem to stop people from being happy, or being able to be who they are. It's nice." Everyone here was so warm and welcoming.
