For a second Briar just looked at the man who approached him, as if deciding whether or not he should put his guard up and settling on there not being any need. So he just nodded a little and shuffled over to share the patch of grass. Beneath him it had responded to his magic, and he'd chastised it already, growing unseasonably plush.
"Better'n standing there," he said simply. "Don't know no one here that good either?"
