Who: Melissa Glaser & Sam Goode What: Having Dinner Where: Bonnie Belle When: Fore-dated to Friday Night
Melissa was not all too entirely sure what she had gotten herself into by going out to dinner with Sam. He was definitely one of the good guys and Melissa knew she needed more 'good' in her life. Though she put on a pretty good show, she knew deep down she was far from alright a lot of the time. In fact, it was more than half. When she wasn't pushing her way through her homework, she was drinking and at times, since Halloween, eating nothing, but Halloween candy when she felt that annoying growling in her stomach. Outside the house party and the music festival, she hadn't been very social lately. Part of Melissa was not sure how to be social anymore which had never been a problem for her before Madison Valley. This place seemed to have just sucked all the motivation to reach out to people from her. When Sam asked, she actually had to think about it when in the past she would have accepted the invitation without a second thought. Still, Melissa knew she'd done something positive by accepting and she liked talking with Sam.
Because the witch was at a loss as to what this entire set-up might be, Melissa decided to stick to something neutral and simple: skinny jeans and a nice blouse with a modest view of cleavage. She kept to high heeled boots though and put on a decent amount of make-up. She curled her hair and grabbed her jacket just as she heard a car pull into the driveway. At the sound, Melissa couldn't help, but smile to herself. She hoped tonight went well. Thankfully, because her father was no present, she didn't have to worry about the whole awkward conversation bit that would have happened back in Chance Harbor. Instead, they were able to head to the restaurant without much issue aside from the usual Friday night traffic. Despite having hung out with Sam before, she found herself a tad nervous which was not Melissa's thing, especially around the opposite sex. She usually had all the confidence in the world, but the feeling just proved how out of practice she was with everything happening around her right now.
Pulling up the Bonnie Belle, Melissa undid her seat belt and offered a small, somewhat shy smile to Sam. "I don't know about you, but I'm looking forward to having a meal that doesn't contain a massive amount of chocolate," she joked.
