WHO: Sydney Sage and Hermione Granger WHAT: A discussion of magic? WHEN: Wednesday afternoon WHERE: A little picnic area by the river WARNINGS: TBD STATUS: Closed/Ongoing
Coffee was life. Or, in Sydney's mind, it at least made life bearable. And while she couldn't afford Starbucks every day when she wasn't on the Alchemist payroll, she was rarely to be found without a cup of some sort. Because of this, she had a strong dislike of places that didn't allow beverages. Like, for instance, the library. While she liked the quiet and loved being surrounded by books, being denied her caffeine made studying there very long an impossibility.
That was why she was sitting at a picnic table at a riverside park, sipping her coffee and reading a checked-out book on magic. The different kinds of magic people in Madison Valley practiced fascinated her. Sydney's own magic, while powerful, was very ritualistic and could be quite time-consuming. Others used wands. Some didn't even need that. She was still quite interested in proving or disproving her theory that the source of all magic was the same - practitioners only differed in the way that they accessed it.
She was contemplating this question, rather staring into space as she did, when Hermione crossed her vision. She blinked and called out to her, extricating herself from the picnic table. She'd meant to contact the other witch far before now, and she considered this chance meeting quite fortuitous.
