WHO: Lucas Cortez and OPEN WHAT: Panic Shopping WHEN: Friday morning WHERE: Walmart WARNINGS: TBD, likely none STATUS: Open/Ongoing
There was very little time left. The babies' due date was in November, and since twins often came early, they could be born almost any day. Inside, Lucas was a terrible mess, full of anxiety and anticipation for the event to come. More than anything, he was excited about being a father, but he couldn't help being a little worried. Things went wrong with pregnancies and deliveries, and while it was rare, the thought of losing Paige nearly brought him to his knees with panic.
At least inside.
On the surface, he was as calm as ever, if you didn't look too hard.
Today he was pushing the cart down the aisle at Walmart, trying to make sure they were stocked up on some last minute things. Although they already had stacks of diapers at home, he'd added another ten or twelve packs, some baby wipes, diaper cream, and about fifty little onesie outfits that he'd found cute. Excessive shopping wasn't really something that Lucas did, but he figured they couldn't have enough baby supplies.
