James quite liked going out and spending his time with Harry. He wasn’t keen on working for muggles, didn’t see any point when it was so easy to just transfigure their money, morally grey as that was. And so he had quite a lot of free time in Madison Valley. Not that he minded at all. It was free time or it was home to die, and he’d choose free time with his son over anything.
He and Harry were out playing in the park. Which was mostly James sitting on the grass, wand out making some leaves float around like butterflies while Harry chased them.
It was so easy to entertain him at this age. He liked the simplest tricks. James knew that couldn’t last forever, he was growing so fast. But he’d enjoy it while he could, and hope that by the time Harry was big enough, he’d have managed to find a proper broom to teach him to fly.
