"I can't believe you're trying to feed me vegetables," Mitchell said with what was supposed to be a disapproving sneer. It didn't quite make it, though, and after a moment's protest, he took the bite into his mouth.
He was glad Kate was herself again. She was certainly cute as a child, but he preferred the adult version. Madison Valley was a weird place, the way it made people do and be strange things like that. He hoped Kate wouldn't regress in age again.
He couldn't have date nights if she was a child, because she was the only one he wanted to have date night with. He chewed and swallowed. "I guess that wasn't too awfully terrible," he said, but promptly took a bite of his beef dish.
