Who: Emily Prentiss and OTA (Someone with powers would be great because I'm trying to shock Emily into accepting the situation!) What: Surely there's someone in this place who has not yet partaken of the Kool-Aid?? When: Thursday afternoon Where: Middle of town-ish? Plus depending on how the thread goes we might could take them someplace more specific. Rating: Low. Warnings: Heavy amounts of skepticism and refusal to accept the situation? Basically, Emily thinks y'all are cuckoo bananas.
It had been a few days, and the conversations Emily had had on the networks had been less than encouraging. Her phone was stubbornly refusing to connect, and she was stubbornly refusing to acknowledge that this fact corroborated the cockamamie story she had been fed about this place.
The fact that she had had independent eyewitness statements from unrelated sources, too, she chose to disregard.
What would Hotch do, she asked herself? He'd know someone. Or he'd find someone, and stern-face some answers out of them. What would Morgan do? Kick down doors until he found the answers. Garcia? Well, she'd have a way to make the internet connect, and then she'd use it to get answers. She missed them and Rossi terribly. It was interesting to her how much the team had become her family. Reid, too, she missed: even though he was here with her, he appeared to have succumbed to the mass delusion that everyone here was currently suffering from.
There was one remaining member of her team, but Emily took thoughts of that person and firmly placed them in one of her many mental compartments, shutting the lid tightly. She had enough to deal with right now.
She'd been given a place to stay and a phone that worked within the city limits, even if there appeared to be jammers preventing any calls going further than city limits, and she'd bought some groceries with the money they'd given her. She knew by now the London gig had probably been given to someone else. She'd just been incommunicado for too long. Left with nothing else to do, she decided to take a walk down the main street of Madison Valley. If she was stuck here for the time being, she could at least find a decent coffee place or a bookshop. Or both.
