Sammy and Buffy
Buffy was all about parties and the chance at free food. She lacked heavily in the cooking skills area and was in desperate need of a few pointers, but who had time for that? Youtube videos and Google aside, Buffy doubted anyone would want to spend a day with her teaching her to make something as simply as Macaroni and Cheese. So being a kind of leech was the plan for the moment and how could you refuse the opportunity to have a full stomach for no cost at all? You couldn't and that's how Buffy found herself at Verdant Saturday afternoon, munching on whatever goodness she could fill her plate with.
It was sort of a kids party, but there were adults present too. Buffy found herself seated at the bar, unsure of where else to seat herself. Buffy had never been one for drinking aside from a horrible beer binge experience back in college that had left her quite solid to the stuff ever since. She didn't mind at all; alcohol turned people into different things and sometimes they were worse than the monsters she slayed. Settling on a Diet Dr. Pepper, she snacked on a few tortilla chips and dip. She was a total sucker for guacamole. Catching sight of the bartender, someone she'd yet to actually speak to in this place, Buffy offered a friendly smile. "Having fun?" she asked.
