Sirius wasn’t in the habit of giving girls terrible allergic reactions. In fact, he was pretty sure that was the first time that had ever happened to him. Before Azkaban, it never would have happened, because he’d completely controlled his shifts, consciously and unconsciously. Apparently now, he shifted into a dog in his sleep, remembering how he was safer that way from the Dementors. They didn’t bother him in dog form as much.

He liked Amy. She was hot, and really nerdy, and really kind of adorable. He didn’t figure that there was really any going back after that horribly embarrassing ordeal, but he hoped that they’d at least be able to get out of this friends. And that was going to require some work on his part.

So he stopped by the florist and got some flowers, and then stopped by the pharmacy to get a box of benadryl and a box of chocolate, and headed out to her place.

Knocking on the door, he stood there, using his puppy dog eyes to hopefully look as pitiful as possible.

Amy wasn't expecting anyone, so she was wearing her glasses, a pair of yoga pants, and a simple tank top when she opened the door. After what happened the other day, she figured she wouldn't be hearing from Sirius again, so she was surprised to find him standing at the door with flowers.

"Uh, hey, come in," she said, wishing that she'd taken the time to put in her contacts. Oh well, he'd seen her in the middle of an allergy attack, so it's not like the glasses were that much worse. "How are you?"

	Sirius wasn't the kind of guy who apologized to girls. He wasn't really the kind of guy who spent a lot of time with girls who weren't naked. So he wasn't really very experienced in this. 	"Thank you," she said, chuckling a little bit when she realized that he bought her Benadryl. "You're sweet." Amy took the items from him and moved into the apartment so she could put them down on the coffee table. She honestly hadn't expected to see him again so she wasn't entirely sure what to say. 	Right, he was British and she should have offered tea. Did she even have tea? She wasn't entirely sure, so she just sat down on the sofa and hoped he would join her. "It's not your fault," she said. 	The fact that he hadn't done it on purpose was actually worse, in a lot of ways. It meant that he was losing control of his transfiguration because of what had happened in Azkaban, and that wasn't even a little bit cool. He sat beside her on the couch. 	Amy frowned a little at his admission, wondering if something she had done had triggered him to shift. "I did have fun with you," she said. One night stands weren't really her thing, but she had no regrets about spending the night with Sirius even if the morning after had been something of a disaster. 	Sirius totally did do that sort of thing. All the time. It was kind of the basic way he worked, actually. He didn't want to commit, but that didn't mean that he didn't want to have sex, so one-night-stands were the way he did things. "I had fun with you, too. 	"No, I guess not," Amy said. She didn't see herself really doing it that often, or with people she barely knew, but she and Sirius had hung out a few times so she felt like things were different with him. "So what would you say to dinner sometime?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. "If I promise not to invite Padfoot along?"

He was going to work on that with James and anyone else who was good at transfiguration, to try to figure out exactly how he was switching without knowing about it. Once they understood that, he'd be able to stop it. He knew he would. He had to.

	Sirius couldn't actually have given her the answer to that himself. He didn't know if they were or not, really. And he didn't care to think of it right now. He just wanted to enjoy herself.
