"Oh, good, that's a step up from lost," Carson joked. "I can live with that. And it's not unsure so much as not completely certain of what scent I want. A friend of mine is having a baby soon -- Ella, you know her, who doesn't? -- and Lord knows she's going to have times especially in those first few weeks where she'll appreciate relaxing things. So I'm trying to decide on a scent and what items."
He studied a display of candles. "I'm leaning towards peppermint -- it's not the lavender everyone automatically goes for, but that can get a bit strong and the poor woman doesn't need to end up smelling like she's living in a peppermint factory. Wait, this is Ella, do you really think she'd mind?"
The answer was no, probably not. Because if you could bake with it, Ella probably loved it.
