Who: Little!Mary and OTA (multiples ok) What: Getting ice cream Where: Madison Valley Creamery When: Saturday Warnings: She's probably a brat.
Something weird was going on in Madison, but then again, even strangeness had a tendency to be commonplace in this town. Mary found herself living in a house with a young boy who thought that she was his mother, and an older teenager who was incredibly irritating... and really cute. Not that she would ever admit that, because boys were mostly gross, though Ichabod wasn't. It was probably because he was older. Older boys were so much better than younger boys.
But Mary couldn't marry him because she was going to marry a prince, or at least a duke. After all, her father was an earl, and when she was of age to be presented at court, she knew that she would be so beautiful that the prince would want to marry her immediately, and that she would become the next queen of England. Or if that didn't work out, she'd settle for a duke, but clearly nobody lower than that. How embarrassing that would be.
In an attempt to escape the house and Ichabod for a while, Mary took herself to get some ice cream, riding her bike over to the shop. It wasn't the same as riding a horse, but she couldn't keep her horse at the house. Madison was so weird.
She ordered a scoop of vanilla and a scoop of chocolate and placed her money on the counter. When her ice cream was handed to her, she stared down at the cup in annoyance before glaring up at the server. "That's it? That's all I get for five dollars? How ridiculous. I don't know how your store is even still in business when you charge so much."
With a huff, she took her ice cream and went to sit at one of the benches outside the shop in order to eat it.
