WHO: Dean Winchester and Finch Holland WHAT: Meeting randomly WHEN: Friday morning WHERE: Near the store WARNINGS: TBD STATUS: Closed/Ongoing
In the summer, Finch preferred to go out and get her running around done in the morning. It was still hot in the morning, but not as bad as it would get later in the day. In the morning, she and Katie could still walk and not arrive home dripping in sweat. And now that Katie was walking, Finch liked to take her out to practice whenever she could. Not that she really needed it, as she was coming quite close to perfecting it on her own.
They were on the way home from the store, Katie carrying the bread because she wanted to help and Finch carrying everything else. They were talking a little, Finch answering the questions that her curious two year old posed, when she noticed her brother-in-law heading in her direction.
Her first reaction was alarm, but she pushed that away. He wasn't the monster that had hurt all those people. That was over, and she knew that he felt guilty for the things he'd done. Still, her mother's protective instinct pushed Katie behind her leg (still clinging to her hand) as Dean approached.
Trying not to let any of that nervousness show, she nodded to him.
