Ian and OTA
Ian really didn't want to be here. Normally he enjoyed these picnics, but ever since waking up from the coma he hadn't been the same. He just couldn't get over all the horrible things he'd done in the alternate universe. He couldn't seem to get his mind off it, and he'd lost interest in doing the things he usually enjoyed like hanging out with his friends. It was all he could do each day to drag himself into work, and he spent the rest of his time in bed trying to sleep, although he didn't sleep that well either.
He'd much rather be home, spending his day off in bed napping than here, trying to pretend to act normal and enjoy himself. Just the idea of being around that many people made him feel tired. But everyone else was going, so he'd been pushed into it.
He got something to eat, and barely even noticed the hot shirtless guy manning the grill. Now he was just trying to find a quiet corner where he could chill out by himself and appear to be part of the group without actually having to put the effort into being social.
