Ivy wasn't hiding. She just wasn't at her apartment. No. Not the too new, too empty place that she wasn't ready to call home. Instead, she was sitting quietly at the river's edge with her feet just touching the water. Her legs were fading into various shades of green. She didn't have to pretend to be something she wasn't anymore; not here - not among the plant life.
To be honest, she wasn't sure of her purpose. She didn't have a mastermind scheme at play. Selina wasn't here trying to rope herself and Harley into a girl's team. Harley, for that matter, was different. Diana, however, was precisely as she recalled, and that was a fight wasn't keen to start. But what had she meant? That Batman wouldn't know her? In what reality did that even make sense?
...could she start over? She had tried before and failed woefully. There wasn't a way to simply be Pamela anymore - the brilliant botanist. No. Work and play always ended up crossing paths. Or, worse still, work and past entanglements. She couldn't be Pamela without being Ivy - not anymore. But she could drop the Poison, perhaps. Was her sacrificial act only to save her plants? No. There was no guarentee the plants would survive Scarecrow's toxin. Her final act - the noble one - was to save Batman's precious Gotham. She just... had yet to determine exactly why. His fear had troubled her to her core, but typically that didn't move her.
Something - or rather, someone - stirred entirely too close for comfort. Out of reflex, two vines leapt up in defense. "Show yourself? I haven't done anything." Then she murmured under her breath, "yet."
