Bobby and Jean
"You're welcome." He smiled to her and relaxed as he felt her enter his mind, the feeling both familiar and different. He wondered idly at the differences, and then made himself relax again and smiled. God, he was nervous, which was silly.
But he sat, and waited and when she was out again, he gently hugged her, his own eyes touched with the faintest dew. "I'm sorry, there are a lot of feelings there. There was no way to really warn you."
He pulled back then nodded, one hand still on her, offering comfort physically and mentally.
"Then we find a way to discover if it is the same kind of Phoenix Force as in my world. And if it is, we find a way to defeat it, before it can end up killing you, or anyone else." Like the 5 billion people the phoenix had killed to feed on life force off of, when his Jean had been controlled by it.
"There is time, and there is hope. I wont give up on you." His eyes flared with determination even as his mind was already beginning to think on all he knew, laying it out in lines, in boxes, to look at clearly when he could, determination to not let her die like the other Jean had.
