Bobby and Jean
At the invitation, Jean took a seat on the opposite side of him and folded her hands on the table. "Thank you. I was unsure if you would like to talk. I know I am not the same Jean you knew from your world. It sounds like we were friends," she replied with a small, sad smile. Truthfully, Jean was never that bold, but since facing Apocalypse, she'd found she was somewhat braver and believed it had to do with her step forward in power control. Oh, the phoenix scared Jean completely, but she'd been able to let go and rein it in. That had count for something.
Yes, happiness and a bit of sadness too. Jean expected it. Perhaps if he allowed it, Jean would look into his mind and see his memories of her. She would like to know even if it would not be from the viewpoint of his particular Jean Grey. It might make things easier for them both. She felt him start to close his mind to her and for Jean, that was fine. She would never pry. Most people's minds were vulnerable, but Bobby was an X-Men. "It's up to you really. I don't mind either way. Opening your mind up to someone is vulnerability and I guess it depends on how vulnerable you want to be around me," she replied with a small smile.
