"Thank you ma'am, I am," George beamed. "Canada Day is a much nicer name for it than what we called, it, I think. It was Dominion Day before, you see."
He didn't know when it had changed, but it was better now. "For the day we became a dominion. In 1867."
Just a little before George had been born, in the grand scheme of time. The Father and his Aunties had most certainly been around to witness those particular celebrations, and now here he was able to witness 150 years later. If only he could do so actually in his country.
