Johnny was used to people not believing that. It was understandable. He was young, had only been twenty-two when he'd turned up here a few years ago and definitely hadn't become one in that time. And he didn't come across nearly as smart as he actually was.
It wasn't worth arguing, because he couldn't prove it.
"Blah blah science stuff," she said with a shrug. "My sister explains it better. Something to do with a storm and rays and right place right time. We didn't all get the same stuff. Mine's just the coolest."
