Sue would've held onto him for the rest of the night if he'd wanted. Even when he started to pull away, it took her a moment to really let go. She couldn't even begin to understand what he was going through, but she would do her best to be there for him. That wasn't even a question.
"Come on, we'll talk while we eat," she suggested. She needed a few minutes to wrap her head around his question, to figure out the best way to answer him. Sue pressed a kiss against his forehead and squeezed his shoulders in a half hug before leading him into the kitchen. She grabbed plates for them and left him to grab drinks.
Once she was seated at the table and they both had slices of pizza. "I haven't been given memories from past the point when I first arrived here, but-" Sue sighed softly, privately still glad that at least he hadn't been sent home to relive all of it. At least he was still here. He was safe and whole and he'd be happy again. She'd make sure of it. "But it's- it's not something that's infrequent, I think. Others must have been through the same thing. I want to tell you that talking about it will help. The question is, do you want to let the memories you got change who you are, or if you want to stay being who you are now."
