WHO Sue Storm & Archie Andrews WHAT Comforting her ward WHEN Around a half hour after this WHERE Their apartment WARNINGS Talk of death, dying, etc STATUS Closed | Incomplete
Sue had felt a surge of protectiveness toward her ward the minute she saw his message on the network. She was grateful for the alerts she set up so she'd always see messages directed specifically at her, as well as her habit of checking her phone frequently to make sure everything was good. Archie was an important part of her life now, had become so ingrained in her life when she'd half expected he'd one consider their apartment a place to rest his head for the night. Sue did her best to not be too maternal or restrictive, but at this particular moment, all she wanted to do was wrap him in a hug and never let go.
Instead, she called ahead to their favorite pizza place to have a pie ready for when she got there and then it was just a few minutes more to get home. Sue let herself into the apartment easily, calling out for Archie as she shut the door. "I'm home and I've got pizza!" She made a beeline to the kitchen and caught sight of him in the other room. She frowned and set the pizza down on the kitchen table and put her bag on one of the chairs before meeting him halfway.
It was pretty obvious that she was trying to figure out what the best way to comfort him was. "It's going to be alright," she promised again, hoping he'd trust her.
