Pepper didn't even bother to temper the wide smile that crossed her lips. Madison Valley, while not as engaging on a professional level, was doing wonders for her personal life. Her friends were here, she had someone she cared about deeply, and she'd felt a shift in her somehow. Like she was more at peace.
"I never thought I'd say this, but I'm glad to be here," Pepper replied, an honest admission between friends. "Phil's alive, so many of us are here, and I'm grateful for the ones that aren't, terrible as that might be." It was true though, and she felt safe enough to express that to Natasha. "And I- well. Things with Dwight are going a lot better than I'd expected." So much better. "We ah- well. I guess you could say I had the full prom experience?" she offered with a smirk.
"And we've got your wedding to look forward to as well." Pepper raised a pointed eyebrow because she had a feeling wedding dress shopping wasn't something her friend was looking forward to.
