Dwight & Peppers
She chuckled a little at his formal tone and wrapped her arms around his neck in return because she loved being close to him. Dwight made her feel safe and she was in need of that right now. Had been ever since Methos and it was taking longer than it should have to shake. Or at least, longer than she wanted it to take. It was cute how he considered ditching the dancing part to make out, but then he settled on dancing and Pepper couldn't resist. It seemed neither could he though, because he leaned in to kiss her a moment later. She responded in kind and appreciated that he was good about keeping their public displays of affection low profile.
"There's definitely going to be a later," she promised, once she was back in his arms. Pepper knew there was a good chance she was rushing things, that she should probably wait, but she didn't want to. Plus, she felt secure enough in how things were going that even if he turned her down, they could still keep on doing what they were doing. As he spun her around the dance floor, she considered the best way to make her proposition.
"I know it's a bit unconventional, but I'm glad we met, even if the circumstances were shitty," Pepper admitted softly, happy to just sway with with him to the rhythm of the music. "I don't know if I've told you that yet, but it's true." She shifted to wrap her arms around him better, to keep a little closer to him. She got the feeling it was the same for him, and even though it wasn't even close to love, not yet, there was a fondness there and a good amount of lust.
