WHO: Jem Carstairs and Mathilda Lando WHAT: Looking at guns WHEN: Thursday evening WHERE: Neil's Creek Guns and Ammo WARNINGS: TBD STATUS: Closed/Match-up/Ongoing
Despite Jem's calm and steady demeanor, and the fact that he was incredibly soft spoken, he was not a pacifist. How could he be? He was a Shadowhunter, bred to kill demons and protect an ignorant humanity from the Shadow World. He had never killed a human, no, but he was an extremely skilled hunter who had shed a great deal of demon blood in the twenty years of his life. That was why, to those who knew him, it was not particularly strange to find him looking at guns and knives at Neil's Creek Guns and Ammo.
He wasn't fond of guns, really. They did little to stop demons, and they took little to no skill. Most Shadowhunters were unimpressed with them, and Jem was no exception. He was, however, fond of the knives and bows that they had here, both of which he considered himself entirely proficient with. They were nothing compared to what the Iron Sisters could produce, but there were no Iron Sisters here.
As he browsed the aisles, he saw a young girl, not much older than he was when he moved to England from China, browsing as well. It would not be strange for a young Shadowhunter to be inspecting weapons, but she was not a Shadowhunter. From everything his senses told him, she was only human. That concerned him.
Approaching her, he smiled gently, clasping his hands behind his back.
