Jem and Briar
Though Briar would rather have been where there were more kids his own age, both his guardians were here, and he felt like he owed it to them to suck it up and play nicely while they spent time with their friends. And at least the people hosting this thing were generous with their food.
Sitting down across from a man with obviously dainty habits, he planted his elbows right on the table and leaned toward him a little. "You seem real fancy for someone eating outside."
He was just as comfortable crouched in a corner eating scraps, himself.
