WHO: Madge Undersee and OPEN WHAT: Buying flowers WHEN: Saturday WHERE: Walmart WARNINGS: TBD, probably low STATUS: Open/Ongoing
Madge was truly feeling better right now than she had in years. It was hard to believe that just six months ago, she'd nearly died in the smouldering wreckage of district Twelve...she was feeling strong and healthy and excited about her life in Madison Valley. She had a boyfriend that she cared about very much. She had a job she loved. She had a home. She was safe. There was plenty of food. Yes, she still often mourned her parents and all the friends she'd lost in the bombing of District 12, but she was alive, and she was determined to live her second chance as fully as she possibly could.
Today she'd gotten up early and headed to Walmart. She'd been told that they sold flowers, and while the apartment she shared with Gale was small and didn't have a yard, she liked the idea of at least putting pots of flowers around the apartment to brighten things up a bit.
Browsing through the flowers, the number and types of them amazed and baffled her. They were all so beautiful, and there were so many varieties she'd never seen before. She didn't know what to make of it, and found herself instead reading the tags to attempt to find one that would grow well in the low light of her apartment. Because they were all pretty.
After a few minutes, though, she threw up her hands in frustration, and looked around desperately for someone who could help her.
