WHO: Talia Hale and Derek Hale WHAT: Mother and son talk WHEN: Tonight WHERE: Their place WARNINGS: Nah STATUS: Closed/Ongoing
Talia hadn't made a very big deal of Peter leaving. She missed her brother, and had grieved his loss privately, but she was well aware that most people in this town had a very negative opinion of him. And she totally understood. Peter was not the easiest person to get along with, and that was putting it mildly. He had a tendency to be selfish, violent, and utterly unpleasant, and was very nearly a sociopath. But she loved him despite his faults, and she missed him.
Learning first-hand now how quickly people could disappear made her want to cling to Derek that much more tightly. Of course she couldn't smother him - he was an adult now and not the broken little boy she'd left back home. But she did intend to spend as much time with him as she possibly could.
Coming home from a run, she went to Derek's room and knocked on the door. She knew that it was Friday night and that he might have plans, but if not, she hoped to spend the evening with her son.
