With the invitation accepted, Melissa took a seat and settled her backpack on the grass. No, the witch did not know Kurt very well outside of the party at Tea's that one time, but from their brief conversation he seemed pretty cool and nice. Plus, he had a really awesome ability in Mel's eyes:teleportation. Who wouldn't want to be able to picture a place and just be there in an instant? Honestly, her own powers seemed sort of lame compared to that.
"Eh," Melissa responded and flashed a small smile. The witch shrugged her shoulders. "Same thing as always. Go to school. Come home. Drink too much. Potentially pass out before doing homework. Get up and do it again," she raised a tentative finger. "Unless it is a weekend or a Friday, than the passing out is probably going to be at least till noon...with the potential for day drinking." Just saying all of that out loud made Melissa feel bad. Oh boy.
At the mention of feeling cooped up, Melissa gave an understanding nod. "I know what you mean," she replied with a small sigh. "School does it. Hell, this freaking town does it every day," she shook her head. If you asked her what was the one thing she wanted most months ago, she would have said this: a normal life. Now, she just wasn't entirely too sure anymore. "How are you doing? Besides, feeling trapped. Oh and you're not a smurf," she added.
