Jason smiled, glad that she'd accepted. It had been too long, and she was his oldest and dearest friend, no matter what had happened between them. Honestly, he didn't want to think of a world that Reyna wasn't a part of from the start.
"Good," he said. "Then we can go together."
Sometimes he wished they could go back, maybe have a do-over. He still didn't feel anything for her romantically, but if he had been a little more sensitive, a little less blind, he could have let her know that a little more kindly than just showing up with Piper. Still, he had hope that the small bit of awkwardness between them would disappear with time.
