"That's very true," she replied, appreciative of his optimism. Sometimes she got a bit too caught up in her head, though she'd gotten a lot better since Wil and Eretria had appeared. They'd done wonders for Amberle's general attitude about town, though she still considered it something of a sign that they'd appeared as soon as she'd started feeling a bit more appreciative of her second chance.
"I stuck to the edges of that one," she explained, "and I left early, so I think I missed that part." That had been when everyone was being honest with one another. Amberle definitely didn't want to think about that one. "Worse for me would be any kind of formal event at home. Mostly because I had to wear some truly uncomfortable things just because it would make a statement." As a man, she doubted Carson would have any familiarity with that side of things.
