Steve & Clint
Clint respected Rogers' privacy since he too had been pretty hush hush about his own. But he cared for the guy, and Clint knew Rogers was new to this whole relationship thing. He also knew that if it went sour Rogers would blame himself no matter what. Dork.
Clint smiled in return. "Good. It's always work," he said. "One more thing then I'll leave you alone about it. If it starts feeling more like work than anything else it's time to call it quits. For both of your sakes. The closest thing I can compare your situation to is an arranged marriage and those only lasted because they had to. Don't either of you stick to it just for the other one. Your feelings matter, too. Veronica wouldn't thank you for...doing her a favor. Get me? Just like you wouldn't want her to stay in it if she wasn't happy just for your sake."
Clint didn't often do serious advice or talks. He'd been doing them a lot more since he got here and it was annoying. But when he did do serious he knew what he was talking about. He just hoped it didn't piss off Steve too much.
