WHO: Jace Herondale and Peter Hale WHAT: Match-up. Snark. This could end badly. XD WHEN: Sunday morning WHERE: On the street WARNINGS: TBD STATUS: Closed/Ongoing
Jace was ridiculously glad that he hadn't been directly affected by the relationship nonsense. He and Clary had been through enough problems without their entire worldview being tossed in the air or her thinking that she was in love with Simon or something else to cause them more drama. They had plenty of that on their own, thanks.
So being who he was, he found himself rather amused by all the people suffering from the fallout of the last week. People who had just started dating who were suddenly married...and deciding to stay that way amused him the most. Because that was certain to work. He couldn't help but roll his eyes.
He'd been to the gym this morning, and gone for a run, and now was just leaning against a building with his Starbucks, watching and observing. He hadn't seen anything interesting for quite some time, and perhaps nothing interesting would happen in Madison Valley on a Sunday morning, but at least he was letting Clary sleep in a bit. She was always better at sleeping late than he was.
That was when he noticed the man - no, not just man - approaching. He looked furious, which didn't matter much either way to Jace. He raised an eyebrow as he passed and smirked a little, but said nothing. He wasn't actively trying to pick a fight. He was just being himself. Which a lot of times was exactly the same thing.
