Who: Kate Bishop and Clint Barton Where: The Farm House What: Proving they do not have an online stalker relationship. Or meeting in person. When: Saturday - Early Afternoon Warnings: Probably none. Is Clint a warning? Status: Closed/In-Progress!
Kate was still trying to process the fact that Clint lived on a farmhouse. Trying to imagine the Clint from her world living and working like this? She had literally stopped and laughed out loud in the midst of her walk up the drive. That would have been great to actually see, though. Especially considering he had trouble making coffee on his own.
Her bow in hand, a handful of arrows in a quiver on her back, and a plate of store-bought cookies in her other hand, Kate was ready to make this meeting happen. Her mother had taught to her always arrive to someone's house with a gift. Cookies would have to do as Kate was far from a gourmet chef or baker, and they were on the cheaper end of the price spectrum. She was keeping her fingers crossed that the nanny job paired with the other job offer would come through.
And, if it didn't, she was use to eating ramen noodles and drinking stale coffee. The things you learned when you went from wealthy to not wealthy overnight.
With a balancing act now in session with the bow and cookies in one hand, Kate gave a solid knock on the door...and waited. She took in a few deep breaths. What if, after all of this, the familiar faces and names didn't want to get to know her? What if they were simply humoring her? There was a terrible sinking feeling in her stomach that was starting to grow. Deep breath, Kate. Deep breath. What was the worst that could happen? The folks that Kate had looked up to for so long said no thanks?
