WHO: Merida and OPEN WHAT: A little overwhelmed WHEN: Monday morning WHERE: Downtown WARNINGS: TBD STATUS: Open/Ongoing
Merida had never in her life seen a place like this one. She'd been a bit overwhelmed by it all - by the 'cars' that raced down the street, by the 'concrete' that seemed everywhere, by all the lights that lit the sky even after the sun went down. The apartment they'd given her got so bright when she turned on the lights that she'd stopped doing it, instead buying candles and using them for light instead.
Buying candles - and going into that...market called Walmart had been scary enough on its own.
But despite that, she wasn't going to let this place stop her, or hold her back. She'd seen amazing things before - and she would just call these new ones magic as well. It made more sense to her than any other reason she could come up with.
Today, she'd been out in the woods practicing her archery. At least trees were the same, although this world had different ones than the ones they had in DunBroch. Still, they were trees, and arrows flew the same through the air here, so at least some things were still familiar.
When she was finished, she slung her bow over her shoulder and headed back into town, looking around her with faintly disguised awe. She didn't want to look like some peasant who'd never seen anything like this before...but, well...she hadn't seen anything like this before.
