WHO: Neal Caffrey and OPEN (multiples welcome... he's gonna be there for a while) WHAT: Neal's practicing card tricks in a coffee house (Find the Lady, card vanish, pull card from the air, etc) WHEN: Friday afternoon - evening WARNINGS: None that I can think of. Will change if needed. STATUS: Open/incomplete
The light that filtered through the rattan blinds gave the coffeehouse and almost surreal look. Something out of a dream, or maybe a fantasy movie where everyone is bathed in that golden hue that makes them seem magical. And maybe here in Madison Valley that could be partially true. There were so many different types of people that came from so many different universes, some of which magic and supernatural powers did exist.
Not Neal Caffrey though. No no, he was from what he liked to call (in his mind) "reality" where magic and superheroes did not exist. He wasn't trying to disrespect anyone from other universes because he understood now that what they knew was their reality. And his was different, and boring compared to some of the stories he heard. Like Pansy's world where there were wizards and dragons and all sorts of things he only saw in movies.
Neal had taken the day off. No classes or people with private lessons. Just himself, his thoughts, and a pack of cards. It had been so long since he had practiced his sleight of hand, what most people called magic in his world. And he was good at it. Really good. If he hadn't chosen a life of (white-collar) crime he probably would have been a magician. He could have probably had his own Vegas show if he worked at it. With his good looks and charisma it was hard for people to ignore him outright. So there he sat in the coffee shop, shuffling the cards like a pro and pulling cards out of thin air as if it were nothing. Maybe he hadn't lost his touch, but it was enough to draw a small crowd and maybe if he was bold he'd get a volunteer to do a few tricks with him.
