Belle had been shown to her apartment, and left with strict instructions to call if she needed help. People on the network were friendly, she was told, and if she needed assistance, to ask for it. No one would judge her for it. It wasn't her way to ask for help, however, but it was nice to have the resource available if necessary. She had spent far too many hours examining the 'appliances' in the home. She'd never seen such things! It was all too wondrous, and possibly a bit disorientating. The little packet she'd been given told her that there was a bookstore in town.
Clearly, that was the first place she should go.
So after realizing she had no other clothing than what she wore when she arrived, she sighed, brushed her hair back and swept out into the town. Her blue skirts swept around her feet as she moved quickly in the chill air, she'd been lucky enough to have a red winter cloak in hand when she arrived and that was over top to keep the chill at bay. She wasn't entirely sure where she was going, but it didn't matter - it was a whole new adventure. She couldn't help but sing as she walked, it was a French folk song, and her voice was sweet, it was haphazardly sung as she got distracted by the things around her. Cars were scary, and she did not like them. They smelled, they made too much noise and they went too fast.
Murphy would stumble across her cursing in French at the taillights of a car that had driven past and almost drenched her in the road-muck. She'd deftly avoided it but her tone, and the words, were not pleased ones at that.
