"Well, the short version of it all is that I was born and raised in the 1900s and I was a progressive, encouraging women to vote, wear pants and all that as well as being a nurse during WWI," Sybil told Sam without a beat. "I died back home following complications giving birth to my daughter. But here's a second chance and I'm focusing on nursing here."
She left a pregnant pause so Sam could tell Sybil about his own life.
