Re: Sonja Belikova & Edmund Hewlett
Edmund was certain that Mary Crawley-Crane was, without a doubt, the worst influence he'd known in all his years.
While he did appreciate her concern for him, when he'd found out he'd been signed up for speed dating, he'd nearly melted into the ground out of embarrassment - Or at least when he found out what it was. The whole idea was foreign to him, and he'd already decided that romance was not in the cards for him after the disastrous heartbreak of his almost-wedding in Setauket. If it weren't for the fact that he was afraid of leaving some poor woman without a partner, he would have backed out immediately.
As it was, Edmund Hewlett was a gentleman above all else, and he knew in his heart despite his embarrassment that Mary was only concerned for him and trying to help.
He sat rather awkwardly across from his first date clad in his uniform with his white wig perched ever so precisely on his head, just as he always did. "I, ah - It's... A pleasure to meet you, miss," he said, finally, feeling totally out of his element.
