Bundled up against the cold, Elena made her way to the park with camera gear in tow. Though freelancing was far from profitable, especially when you were confined to one place, Elena refused to give up. She remained determined to have a show in Madison Valley even if the subject matter may be far from as interesting as anything she found back home. Then again, a right angle and color could very well make a shot all the more interesting. She found that people surprised you with what and who they could relate to. Much of Elena's photographs reflected the conflict brewing within her between her human side and the wolf constantly clawing away to be free. A choice that she once believed was forced upon her was a driving force and inspiration for much of the content she shot. There was not much in Madison Valley that could quite grasp that battle, but that was okay because the war didn't bubble and boil so strong within her. Strangely, this place seemed to be what soothed her soul. Here, she was finding acceptance.
Stepping into the park, Elena pulled out her camera, snapping a few images here and there. It was black and white; Elena believed it provided more of a dramatic flare to the content. There was something about stark contrast that connected with people; it definitely stirred something within her. Maybe it was the comparison to her situation that made it all the more alluring for her. Either way, today she planned to do a mix of both color and black if possible. Though, during the winter, there was not much color to be found anyway. Another reason she preferred using the black and white. Color was best reserved for summer when things were all a bloom and life was everywhere just begging, pleading to be photographed.
