Who: Melissa & Open What: Being depressed Where: Her place When: New Year's Eve Rating: TBD Status: Open; Incomplete
Depressing was the optimum word for spending New Year's Eve alone, but Melissa couldn't have settled into a more fitting situation. Plopped on the couch, the witch was sipping straight from a bottle of expensive whiskey and flipping between the numerous countdown shows the television stations had to offer. Out of all of them, she was leaning towards the one featuring Ryan Seacrest because performers were somewhat decent. In truth, she could have done without any of it: the many smiling faces, the sparkling, bright ball drop over New York City, and the prospect of a fresh start to excite the masses. Melissa current situation did not allow her to be as positive. Being in Madison Valley ensured one thing: everything stayed the same. Despite the occasional disappearance, random dinosaur or two, and the cruise, things in the small town were pretty mundane, if not somewhat boring a lot of the time. If her friends were there, maybe there would have been a bit more in the thrill department, but for the time being, it was all quiet. The thought that she did jinx herself came to mind, but maybe a little jinx would bring about some much desired excitement. God knew there was none to be had on the television set.
