"I mean...my mom and Camden, I've missed them. And even my dad, a little." After all, his dad hadn't always been the monster he became. He'd become that way after Isaac's mother and Camden had died, and it wasn't all his fault. They'd both been through a lot. Of course, with his father's disintegration, Isaac had been forced to go through most of it alone.
"I just want them to go away," he said. "I don't want to remember."
To remember what it was like not to be alone. To have a family. To have a place he really belonged. That was something Isaac hadn't felt in a very long time.
