Jaime was having a month.
Which was to say she was probably going to die after this of sheer embarrassment. As long as no one tried to get payback for this first, anyways. She was sitting in the grass, notebooks spread around her, pencils sitting in the centers of most of them, one in her teeth, and one behind her ear. She smelled - under normal circumstances the vain layer of Jaime's personality would have had her taking six showers by now - of the grave. Grave dirt, rotting corpses, dead things. She had a pile of bones in front of her, and candles set around. She had other random bits and pieces for her work nearby.
And she was arguing. With... well the air. Technically ghosts. "Shut up, you're not helping. You can't help because you just want me to go find your lost cat." she snapped at one spirit, unseen off to the left. Jaime normally didn't bother interacting with them, it was a good way to go mad very quickly. But she was on no sleep, lots of caffeine, and adrenaline. In short, she was not her usual self, and the mask was slipping. She was so good at keeping people she didn't know at arm's length, not sharing information about her abilities. Beyond the basic 'i see dead people' line.
"No, I won't find your cousin Billy, I don't care what he has hiding in his basement, god please don't evne go there right now. Shoo." she waved lazily at the ghost and growled in annoyance, the growl actually a pretty good one, too. There was real annoyance in it. She twirled the pencil in her fingers then slammed it in the ground in annoyance, trying to retrace each step without actually performing the ritual again was almost impossible. But she didn't dare try it yet. She lifted her head and closed her eyes. "I told you to go away, I can't focus with you all jabbering away in my ear!" to whoever was physically coming up, she opened her eyes as she finished the last word and her lips twisted. "Sorry, thought you were just another ghost trying to con me into fixing their issues."
