Carson was glad to have Lissa back, even if she didn't remember anybody. It was still Lissa, and she'd still been his coworker. Still been his friend. Alright, so she didn't remember any of that either, just meant that he'd have to get to know her all over again. And so alright, that meant he'd have to talk to her. He'd do that. But he also wasn't going to poke or prod. He'd let her settle in first.
His friend being back had him in a good mood, though, so he was actually getting out and enjoying his day off instead of staying on the farm and... well, not hiding, but not being terribly inclined to venture out and be away from work or home. It wasn't that he didn't go and have a social life, he just didn't necessarily jump right to having one. That was perfectly okay, right?
As he waited for his drink, though, he was pretty sure the answer was yes, yes it was perfectly okay because no overpriced coffee drink was worth listening to customers who truly didn't understand that no, their drink was not any more important than those of everyone else waiting. He'd long ago started to wonder just how crazy everyone trapped under the dome would go; apparently he was starting to get his answer.
Finally, though, he got his drink and turned to find a place to sit.
