Ariadne, in her worry for Arthur, checked in on him two or three times a day. She was pretty good at picking locks these days - one of the skills she'd picked up from the team - but she didn't need to because she'd swiped his spare key that first day in town. She'd known then that something bad was going on and she wasn't going to leave anything to chance. Whether he realized it or not, she wasn't sure, but he hadn't thrown her out yet. That had to count for something.
Arthur was passed out on the couch, completely mussed and altogether unkempt. It frightened her more than she'd ever admit to that he was in such bad shape. As far as she knew of him, he'd never allow himself to be seen in anything other than a perfectly polished look. For him to care so little about his appearance and person hygiene, Ariadne knew it must be very bad. Unfortunately, that wasn't what stopped her in her tracks. It was the PASIV device on the coffee table, not three feet from his face. That was terrifying, and she knew without a doubt that it wasn't at all what he needed right now. He needed to get his head on straight first, and then maybe she would tell him about the device.
Ariadne carefully draped a blanket over him and the picked up the PASIV device. She still had a few things to do in terms of tidying up, but she could come back to do that in a few minutes. It was more important to get the device out of there and hidden away where he wasn't likely to find it. Her apartment would have to do, even if it wasn't all that far from his. "Please don't be mad at me for this," she murmured over her shoulder, glancing at him for a long moment before heading out.
It was safely hidden away under her bed and then she went back to continue straightening up for him. Ariadne really wasn't sure what to do. Maybe the others in Madison Valley would have an idea, so she took out her device and posted a message, filtering it away from Arthur in the hopes that he wouldn't find out how overwhelmed she was feeling.
