Amberle loved the outdoors. It was where she felt the most comfortable and safe, particularly deep in the woods. The park was just as nice though, and she ventured toward the more populated areas every so often in the hopes that she could get used to meeting new people. She was still feeling uncomfortable around so many humans, but Amberle was certainly getting better. She only armed herself with a knife instead of her sword, and there were far fewer times that she responded to being startled with a weapon.
This particular evening, she was taking a walk around the park and found a quiet place to just look up at the sky as the colors changed. She loved looking at the sky, particularly in the evenings and at night. A few stars were visible, but more would be once the sun set more fully. Amberle was just about to continue on her way when another man nearly walked right into her. She jumped as well, but she counted it a personal victory that she hadn't immediately whipped out her knife to threaten him.
"I stopped in the middle of the walkway," Amberle allowed. "The fault is mine. I apologize." That was also something of a big step for her.
