Who: Kira Yukimura What: Discovering something is very wrong Where: The Woods When: Thursday Morning Warnings: High klutziness. Low otherwise. Status: Closed/Narrative
Kira was unaware there was anything amiss. It was early and she hadn't seen much of the network. She was going about her morning like usual. She stopped in the woods with her sword before she had to be at class. It was all very normal for her.
Well, she was weirdly hungry. The donut she had at the bakery before did not seem to be enough. It was actually starting to bother her. The hunger bangs were actually starting to hurt a little, but she put it aside. She'd stop and get a muffin after her training.
At least training was the plan.
She was pretty confident as she went to remove her sword from its scabbard on her back. She tended to feel that way when the sword was in her hand. It was almost like the sword became a part of her due to her kitsune abilities. That was not to be this morning. The sword did not smoothly take to her hand. Instead, she lost her balance, stumbling forward slightly, enough to send the sword flying into a tree.
"What the hell?" she muttered to herself, staring in disbelief at the katana sticking out of a tree. That disbelief soon turned to anger. How dare the sword do this to her? To that innocent tree, too. She glared for a moment before attempting to pull the sword out.
Bad idea. The sword was removed, but she fell backwards during the attempt, right into the grass. The sword flew past her, landing very close to her head, way closer than she liked. Maybe the training could wait. She was very careful when she picked the sword up, placing it back into the scabbard. Something clearly was wrong. The fox spirit did not seem to be helping her at all. She couldn't remember the last time she'd been so klutzy. She couldn't remember the last time she felt so...empty. Maybe never.
The hunger was getting worse, too. She had no idea what was going on, but this was no longer normal, even for her. It was scary is what it was. She was confused and scared and....dammit the hunger!
"Change of plans," she said to whatever animals might be lurking about. "I'm going to Hinkles and ordering every breakfast food they have."
