Pepper had been looking forward to meeting Neal since they'd arranged to get together Wednesday afternoon because Neal seemed very well versed in art. The fact that he was willing to paint replicas for her was very interesting. If he had that kind of talent, there had to be a story behind it. Perhaps he was a restoration artist of some kind, or simply had a passion and talent for art. She spent the better part of a few days compiling a list of artists and pieces she enjoyed that would potentially help make her apartment feel more like a home. There was a part of her that wanted to see what he'd paint for her after getting to know her a little better.
Around noon, she took her lunch break after checking in with Lucas and Kristoff - both of whom she was really enjoying working for - and headed over to the art store Neal worked at. Pepper knew she looked a little out of place in a sharp pantsuit and four inch stilettos, but that was how she'd always dressed and that was how she preferred to dress, even in Madison Valley. It was the little threads of similarity that made her feel a little less off kilter and that was all that really mattered at the end of the day.
She recognized Neal easily enough, though she conceded that he was much more attractive in person. "Neal, it's a pleasure to meet you in person," Pepper greeted warmly, holding her hand out for him to shake.
