WHO: Talia Hale and OPEN WHAT: Going for a walk WHEN: Very early Saturday morning WHERE: By the river WARNINGS: TBD STATUS: Open/Ongoing
Talia Hale was no stranger to the night.
And with her powerful werewolf senses, she had no fear of it, either. She could smell or hear a person coming just as easily during the darkness as she could in full daylight. Actually, the darkness gave her the advantage over humans, who relied almost completely on sight.
Not that she would need these advantages when she was just out for a walk in Madison Valley. She wasn't expecting any sort of danger to arise, although she was, by necessity and practice, always prepared for it. She'd just needed to get outside for a few moments, away from the teenage drama that was Derek's house, and have a few minutes for herself.
It was definitely getting cooler out. Fall had hit Madison Valley fully and she could smell it in the decay of the leaves and in the very air itself. She could feel it in the chill and hear it in the sounds of the animals scurrying to secure their homes for winter. She'd always liked fall. Maybe that was morbid somehow, but she didn't see it.
Standing on the cobbled walk in front of the river, she stopped, pulling her jacket more closely around her and peering down over the water. She felt at peace for the first time in a very long time. It was a precious feeling, and more than anything she wanted to hold onto it, to savor it as long as she could.
