Who: Derek Hale and Wesley Wyndam-Pryce What: Matchup Where: Diner When: Lunch time Warnings: TBD Status: Closed/Ongoing
Derek was grateful that they made it through another full moon with no incident. Erin was getting a little better even though he was pretty sure that she'd never end up managing the kind of full control that the type of wolf from his world could manage. He'd seen her comments about trying a potion so she could remember and he had his reservations about that, but was willing to consider letting her try if she really wanted to.
Lydia also seemed to be doing better, which was a relief. The hole in her head was almost completely healed and she wasn't having as many episodes, at least not that he was aware of. It was always possible that she was just getting better at hiding them from him though. He knew that his overprotectiveness annoyed her sometimes but he didn't really care. She was his responsibility. And at least things weren't overly weird between them since they spilled their guts a few weeks ago.
Normally, he packed a lunch for work, but today he hadn't bothered since they were working on a house in town. He decided to head over to the diner to pick up food and immediately got distracted when he spotted a man sitting in a booth reading a rather thick tome with a Latin title that, if his translation was correct, said something about mythical creatures. Derek was far from an outgoing or friendly person, but if he could make a connection with someone who knew anything about banshees and help Lydia, then he was willing to push himself out of his comfort zone.
"Mind if I join you?" he asked, sliding into the seat across from the man. He could eat here just as easily as getting his food to go. "I couldn't help but notice your book and I was wondering if there is any information in there about banshees."
