WHO: Lucas Cortez and Paige Winterbourne
WHAT: Being married people
WHEN: Morning of the 16th
WHERE: Their home
WARNINGS: TBD
STATUS: Closed/Ongoing
Lucas had been trying to stay under the radar since the spell that he and Paige had cast had gone wrong. There seemed to have been quite a good number of people mad at them, although Lucas thought that perhaps their problems lay with themselves, not with the truth. As an attorney, he was perfectly capable of not telling the truth - in fact, he was shockingly good at it. But most of the anger seemed to come from people in relationships, and in Lucas's opinion, that was one place where one should always be honest. He went out of his way to be honest with Paige. She deserved that.
This morning he awoke at his regular early hour and made his way downstairs to fix a pot of coffee. That done, he poured himself a cup and sat at the table, unfolding the paper and starting to read with the front page, as he always did. Lucas's routines kept him from losing his mind, and he clung to them. So much had been happening lately, with the spell, and their attempts to conceive that he needed something reliable and normal.
Hearing Paige's footsteps on the stairs he looked up at her.
"How are you feeling?"
It was a question he'd started asking in the mornings, hoping to hear her say that she was nauseous, or anything that might allude to the fact that something they were doing had finally worked.
